Understand the working principle

Define the intended output dimensions, color mode, and file format, create separate sketch and line layers, test the drawing device, and inspect a sample stroke at actual output size. Keep the first study repeatable and record the conditions that matter. The record supports comparison; it is not a formula for taste or success.
Build a controlled process
Lower the sketch visibility, rotate or reposition the canvas for comfortable strokes, build long contours from deliberate segments, close only shapes needed by the coloring workflow, and save versions before flattening.
